What are your tutoring qualifications?

Ms. Leanna has been a professional tutor for over ten years now. She has experience as the Education Director at the Boys & Girls Club in Oakland & Macomb counties, MI. She also has an Associates degree in design from Grand Rapids Community College, a Bachelors degree in Arts & Sciences from Lawrence Technological University and a Masters degree in progress in Education through Davenport University.

What subjects do you tutor?

Evergreen Tutoring offers tutoring in math, science, English and social studies for grades K-12. We also offer study skills tutoring and SAT/ACT prep tutoring.

Do you offer package pricing?

Yes. For every 5 sessions you book, I provide a 6th session for free. Please see PACKAGES on our website.

Where are you located?

Evergreen Tutoring is located in Otsego, Michigan. Our full address is 411 Kalamazoo St. Otsego, MI 49078. Evergreen Tutoring is located in the front room of Ms. Leanna’s home. It appears as a green house on her street with a sign out front on the ADA accessible porch ramp.

What is included in a tutoring session?

Ms. Leanna prepares each tutoring session to meet each student’s individual needs and tutoring plan. This may include, but is not limited to, help with homework, review of basic concepts, an emphasis on study skills/note-taking/test-taking, gamified practice and goal tracking/progress monitoring. 

How long does a tutoring session last?

Tutoring sessions are one hour in length. Some students book back to back sessions if a longer session is desired. 

How much do you charge for tutoring?

Tutoring for grades K-6 cost $35/hour. Tutoring for grades 7-12 costs $45/hour. Tutoring for SAT/ACT or other test prep services costs $55/hour.

How often should my child come to tutoring?

Evergreen Tutoring recommends a minimum of one hour a week tutoring but may advise more frequent sessions depending on the student’s needs and tutoring goals. Most tutees schedule between one and three hours per week.

How do I book a tutoring session?

On our website you will find a “Book with Us” tab. Once clicked it will lead to our online booking and payment center through Acuity Scheduling. You may also call (616)795-6858 to discuss other payment and scheduling options.

Do you offer group tutoring sessions?

Yes. I offer high school level math tutorial courses in Pre Algebra, Algebra I and II, and Geometry. If you have more than one student/child you would like to include in tutoring, please contact me to discuss additional options. 

What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellations made at least 24 hours in advance will be given a full refund - or - have the opportunity to reschedule.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of session start time will not be allowed a refund or a free rescheduling except in the following cases: medical emergency, family death, natural disasters, or extenuating circumstances.

What times do you have available for tutoring?
